A Two-Track Workshop for Underserved Schoolgirls
Project Haatemalo brought a comprehensive two-track workshop to over 100 schoolgirls from underserved communities in grades 8, 9, and 10 at Mary Ward School, Lubhu.
To ensure the highest medical accuracy, our team first trained directly with clinical nurses from Patan Hospital. We then passed that knowledge forward, teaching the girls basic reproductive anatomy, safe hygiene practices, and how to spot early signs of infections and cycle disorders.
Financial Literacy Track
Building Foundations for Independence
Alongside health literacy, we partnered with economics students to run a foundational workshop on personal finance, giving the girls practical tools to understand savings and long-term financial independence.
This dual-track approach was intentional — we believe health and financial autonomy are inseparable pillars of empowerment for young women.
Through pre and post workshop surveys, we tracked a measurable increase in accurate biological literacy and a major drop in health-related anxieties across all 100+ participants.
