Serving Families Isolated From Baseline Healthcare
Pragya Nepal partnered with the Leo Club of Budhigandaki and local medical professionals to launch a rapid-response public health camp at Buddhapark, Swoyambhu — bringing free diagnostic services directly to communities with no easy access to healthcare.
We explicitly focused on diabetes and hypertension, two of the most common and under-diagnosed chronic conditions in Nepal, with a heavy emphasis on guiding high-risk older populations toward long-term lifestyle and healthcare management.
On the Ground
Direct Impact, One Person at a Time
The camp provided immediate diagnostic screenings and personalised preventative counseling. Medical professionals guided each high-risk participant on lifestyle changes and follow-up care, ensuring the impact extended well beyond a single day.
By bringing services to the community rather than expecting the community to come to services, we reached people who would never otherwise have received these screenings.
Over 250 community members received free diagnostic testing, medical counseling, and direct health tracking in a single day.
